In this context, strengthening defence-industrial cooperation is not just desirable—it is essential. Allies must work more closely than ever to ensure resilience, interoperability, and innovation across our industrial bases.

Canada is proud to be the only non-European Union partner participating in the SAFE program. This reflects both the depth of our transatlantic ties and our shared commitment to advancing collective defence capabilities.

At the same time, Canada is taking important steps at home. Our new Defence Industry Strategy is focused on building a more agile, innovative, and globally connected defence industrial base.

For Baltic industry, this creates real and tangible opportunities —particularly in areas such as advanced technologies, digital innovation, and drone/counter drone technologies—align closely with Canada’s priorities.
