About

If you are looking for partnership with Canadian companies, I am interested to meet with you and facilitate connections with our high level delegation.

Canada and the Baltics share a strong and enduring relationship, rooted in common values, a shared commitment to security, and close cooperation within NATO. As you know, Canada remains deeply committed to Latvia’s security, including through our leadership of NATO’s multinational brigade. This partnership continues to evolve, particularly as we respond to a rapidly changing and increasingly complex security environment.

In this context, strengthening defence-industrial cooperation is not just desirable—it is essential. Allies must work more closely than ever to ensure resilience, interoperability, and innovation across our industrial bases.

Canada is proud to be the only non-European Union partner participating in the SAFE program. This reflects both the depth of our transatlantic ties and our shared commitment to advancing collective defence capabilities.

At the same time, Canada is taking important steps at home. Our new Defence Industry Strategy is focused on building a more agile, innovative, and globally connected defence industrial base.

For Baltic industry, this creates real and tangible opportunities —particularly in areas such as advanced technologies, digital innovation, and drone/counter drone technologies—align closely with Canada’s priorities. There is clear potential to build partnerships that are mutually beneficial and strategically significant.
