Evertz: Resilient C4ISR & Unified RF-Over-IP Infrastructure

At DAIMEX 2026, Evertz is demonstrating the convergence of satellite communications and IP media orchestration. By integrating the DiFi standard with our high-density NATX cores and ev670 processing, we provide a unified, software-defined architecture for the modern tactical environment.

1. DiFi: The Bridge to Digital RF

Evertz is a leader in the Digital IF (DiFi) standard, enabling the virtualization of the satellite ground segment.

  • Virtualized RF Transport: By digitizing RF signals at the antenna using DiFi-compliant gateways, we eliminate the distance limitations and signal degradation of traditional L-Band coax.

  • Seamless Integration: RF data is transported as IP packets over the same NATX/EXE core used for video and KVM, allowing for a consolidated, "single-cable" architecture for the entire command center.

  • Interoperability: Our support for the DiFi consortium standards ensures that Evertz infrastructure is compatible with the next generation of software-defined modems and tactical SATCOM terminals.

2. Secure High-Density Infrastructure (NATX, EXE, EMX)

  • NATX & EXE-VSR Series: These high-performance IP switching fabrics serve as the "Central Nervous System" for both DiFi (RF-over-IP) and media streams. They provide a secure, non-blocking 100G/400G fabric that ensures deterministic routing of mission-critical intelligence.

  • EMX Series: A modular processing frame that acts as the physical bridge for legacy signals, ensuring they are ingested securely into the IP-centric C4ISR ecosystem.

3. Resilient Visualization: ev670 & PREFEX

  • ev670 (Virtualized Media Processing): Runs the evVIP application to provide high-density, resilient monitoring of up to 16 UHD or 64 HD feeds. It supports ST 2022-7 hitless switching, ensuring the visualization of satellite telemetry and ISR feeds remains uninterrupted.

  • PREFEX (Media Processing Edge): A compact, ultra-low latency multiviewer designed for tactical deployments and forward-operating bases, providing high-fidelity situational awareness at the network's edge.

4. Hardened KVMs: Secure Tactical Control

  • Unified Operator Experience: Using the same NATX fabric, operators can control satellite modems, ISR sensors, and classified networks from a single workstation.

  • Multi-Domain Isolation: Hardened hardware-level isolation allows for seamless switching between security enclaves (NATO Secret/Mission Secret) with zero risk of data leakage.
